The Beginning

Q. What are the origins of Rawmantic Chocolate?

KB: I started in a fashion business where I spent over 2 decades dressing women from all over the world with the finest designer brands. I always had a passion for nutrition and loved great food. At first I started taking cooking lessons at Culinary schools, and then I enrolled myself into the Health Educator program at Hippocrates Health Institute in West Palm Beach, FL. I was fortunate to learn so much about nutrition, food combining etc. from the greatest chefs, nutritionists, and educators. I sweetened the life of many of clients who helped me to perfect the recipe of Rawmantic Chocolate bars. 

Q. What have you enjoyed most about starting Rawmantic Chocolate?

KB: Learning, evolving, growing and becoming a totally new person. Starting a new business is very humbling. It teaches you so much about yourself. You are responsible for so many things.  Most important part is people who help you build your dream and rely on you every day. You can’t disappoint them!

Q. Where do you think you need help to scale Rawmantic Chocolate?

KB: Distribution, marketing, PR.

Q. How do you evaluate success as a chocolate maker?

KB: Repeated Happy customers

Work-Life

Q. What is your main role in the everyday operations at Rawmantic Chocolate?

KB: I am very hands-on with daily operations. I am fortunate enough to have a wonderful team who helps me every day to let the company grow. 

Q. What are your non-work habits that help you with your work-life balance?

KB: Exercising, spending time in nature and reading good inspiring books.


Inspiration

Q. Who are your most admired brands?

KB: Taste cookies. I had  a pleasure to meet the founder Kathleen Kings who is so lovely. Despite so many setbacks and bankruptcy she was able to grow her company back to such a huge success. Personally she is a very humble, down to earth person with a great sense of humour. 

Mentor

Q. A piece of advice to the budding chocolatiers?

KB: Perseverance, staying positive, always looking for ways to improve. Surround yourself with good people who are smarter than you.
