The total population of Puerto Rico is estimated to be 3.27 million with 1.55 million males (47.42%) and 1.72 million females (52.58%). There are 169,046 more females than males in Puerto Rico.
The median age in Puerto Rico is 43.1, as per 2021 ACS 5-Year Estimates. Of the total population, 14.34% were under the age of 15, 19.97% aged 15 to 29, 44.43% aged 30 to 64, 18.57% aged 65 to 84, and 2.68% were 85 years of age and older.
Racial distribution of Puerto Rico population: 51.15% are White, 9.96% are Black or African American, 0.16% are American Indian and Alaska Native, 0.19% are Asian, 0.01% are Native Hawaiian and other Pacific Islander, 21.59% are some other race and 16.95% are multiracial.
