The Western United States, also known as the West Region or simply West, is one of four census regions defined by the U.S. Census Bureau, comprising 13 states across two divisions: Mountain (Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming) and Pacific (Alaska, California, Hawaii, Oregon, and Washington).
