Within Washington County, among individuals aged 15 years and older with income, there were 20,607 men and 20,306 women in the workforce. Among them, 9,561 men were engaged in full-time, year-round employment, while 7,488 women were in full-time, year-round roles.
Analyzing the percentage of full-time, year-round workers to the total workforce reveals that among men, the proportion of full-time employment was 46.40%, whereas among women, the ratio was 36.88%. This indicates that a higher percentage of men were engaged in full-time, year-round roles compared to women.
The observed disparity may stem from various factors such as industry choices, societal expectations, or employment opportunities, revealing potential gender-based variations in employment trends within Washington County.
Parenthood, for instance, is one such factor influencing these trends.
